Up to 8-10 treatments for someone with severe solar or acne scar damage.
Downtime can range from mild redness for 24 hours to intense redness and facial swelling ranging from 3-7 days.
The difference in the reaction will depend on the severity of the persons's condition that we are treating. The heavier and harder the treatment, the greater degree of side effects.
Topical anesthetic should be applied 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to the treatment to reduce discomfort.
The Process:
This process can be used to treat all skin type.
Non-ablative fractional resurfacing utilizes a 1540 nanometer wave length.
The wave length targets the water in the cells creating tissue coagulation. Each pulse fires approximately 800 microscopic fractional beams down into the tissue. This effectively kills the tissue forcing the body to reproduce new healthy tissue.
