Do you need to be a doctor to perform cosmetic laser treatments?
We see a lot of misinformation spread about who can and who cannot perform cosmetic laser treatments. It is important to make sure that you are aware of the regulations and requirements in each state.

In the state of Wisconsin, you do not need to be a doctor to perform cosmetic laser treatments. However, you do in fact need to work under a doctor who is licensed in the state of which you are operating. The doctor must be trained in all services being offered. They over see all treatments & make sure that the proper experience and training is in place to operate.
Just because someone may be a licensed medical professional does NOT qualify them to have the proper training & experience to perform treatments. Often times people assume that operating a laser is learned in college programs for professionals while sometimes that may be the case, most of the time it is not and additional training is best to professionally and effectively operate.
With 26 years of experience you can expect master technique and optimal results here at The Cosmetic Laser Center!!

How does laser hair removal work?
Your hair has three separate growth cycles all occurring simultaneously. Those stages are Anigen(Growing stage) Catagen(Resting stage) Telogen(Dying stage). Only hair in the growing stage is affected by laser treatments. So at any given time only â…“ of your hair is actively growing, the other â…” are resting and dying. For these reasons hair removal requires multiple treatments. A long-established industry average of 6 treatments is always our starting point but there are several reasons or conditions that may require 9-12 treatments.
